2025 Vasaloppet USA Skier Instructions
2025 Skier Instructions
*** 2/7/25 4pm – while we expect multiple inches of snow Friday night/Saturday morning, all Vasaloppet USA weekend ski races will be held at their currently scheduled times. Road conditions may be slow, so please allow plenty of time to arrive in Mora well ahead of your start time so you can enjoy the race! ***
Important–Please Read: this year’s race is significantly different from recent years. Due to lack of natural snow, the start and finish have been moved from downtown Mora.
Instead, virtually all race day activities, including registration, bib pick-up, race day parking, changing area/warming, bag drop, awards, and skier lunch will all take place in the Mora Elementary School area.
All race day parking will be at the Mora Elementary School parking lot or adjoining High School parking lots (there will be no parking at the Nordic Center). From the Elementary School, it is a short, well-marked walk to this year’s race start and finish area.
NOTE: Fluorinated Wax (Fluoros) are banned from use and not permitted in the Vasaloppet Nordic Ski Center complex or on the Vasaloppet trails.
Location – Mora Elementary School directions. Note the section of 9th Street between Highway 65 and Mora Elementary School will be closed Saturday and Sunday due to the races crossing over that section of road. Please plan to get to the Elementary School by routing through town vs. Highway 65.
