Here's the latest update on trail conditions:

February 14, 2025

The 9 km of trails at the Nordic Center were groomed earlier this week. Both the skate deck and classic tracks held up well. Snow coverage is excellent. Snow started falling this afternoon with 2-3" expected. The grooming team was already doing some trail prep and advised they will groom tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Get out and enjoy!

*** NOTE: Fluorinated Wax (Fluoros) are banned from use on the Vasaloppet trails at any time and are not permitted in the Vasaloppet Nordic Ski Center complex ***

Explore the Vasaloppet Nordic Center

Just one hour drive north of the Twin Cities. The Vasaloppet Nordic Center is located on the north end of Mora, right next to the elementary and middle schools on 9th Street. It is a beautiful complex that offers over 13 km of groomed trails, 5 km of which are lit for night skiing. Snowmaking provides early season skiing (if temperatures are cold enough) and great skiing conditions throughout the ski season. The Center features a wax room, men’s and women’s changing rooms with saunas, and a small kitchen.

During the ski season the building is open to the public everyday from 8am to 9pm. There is no charge to come and enjoy this complex which is wholly maintained by volunteers and is funded completely by donations through Vasaloppet USA.

Impeccable Trails Await Skiers of All Abilities

Our amazing team of snow farmers and trail groomers keep the trails in tip-top condition all throughout the season. We welcome skiers of all abilities to come and enjoy the trails. Be sure to check the calendar to find out about any special events including high school ski races that may be happening on the weekends.

Looking for the Perfect Venue for Your Special Occasion?

The Vasaloppet Nordic Center is available for rent to make your events truly memorable. Whether it's a graduation party, wedding, family reunion, or any other celebration, our beautiful complex provides an enchanting setting for your gatherings.

Private party rentals are $250 per day for the Nordic Center. The adjacent garage is also available for $250 per day as well (no discount for renting both venues). Alcohol is not allowed in the Nordic Center, but it can be served and enjoyed in the garage.

High school teams and events are $1,100.00 per event per day.
