The Mora Bike Tour

A casual 25-mile or 50-mile bike tour through Kanabec County.

The Mora Bike Tour is an independent organizing group and is not a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization

An Unforgettable Adventure on Two Wheels

The Tour starts and finishes at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center at 400 9th Street N in Mora. The tour offers the options of a 50 or 25 mile tour and begins at 8am. The 50-mile tour qualifies for the Mora Classic Series. The 25-mile distance qualifies for the Mora Motion Series.

New this year! Mora Kids Bike Tour! Ride along the City of Mora bike path for as far as you like, approximately 4.5 miles total. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Helmets are required for all riders. There will be a crossing guard at the corner of Grove Street and Maple Avenue until 10:00 am.

Race day registration is offered online until 7:30 am. There will be no registration refunds given. This is a rain or shine event.

Additional Information

The course

Bikers will experience a route very similar to years prior to 2022 with many familiar  roads we have used in past years. A new map will be published after the county announces their road projects.

Services

Water stops with food and toilet facilities are available along the course. The first water stop closes at 10:30 am; the second at 12:00 and the last stop closes at 2:00. Race services and route signs may not be available if you choose to start earlier or later than the 8am start.

Sag Wagon

If you break down and need a ride back to the Nordic Center, please call the number listed on the course map, which can be picked-up at the start area.

Helmets required

Riders are expected to obey the laws of the road and use courtesy, caution and common sense. Intersections will not be controlled.

Bikers’ Lunch

After your ride, refuel with a Bikers' Lunch and relax on the Nordic Center grounds. Served until 2:00 pm.

Facilities

The tour will start and end at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center. The Nordic Center has men’s and women’s changing rooms, showers, and ample space indoors and outdoors to visit, unwind and refuel after the ride.

Parents & Children Family Rates

  • $80 per family through August 31

  • $90 per family Sept. 1-Sept 13.

  • $100 per family Sept. 14-16 until 8:30am


All family members must reside at same address. The purpose of the family rates is to provide parents with children an affordable option to involve the entire family. 

  • The 50-mile bike tour qualifies for both the Mora Classic Series and the Mora Motion Series.

  • The 25-mile bike tour qualifies for the Mora Motion Series

Registration Fees

  • $35 per person through August 31.

  • $50 per person Sept. 1-Sept 13.

  • $70 per person Sept. 14-16 until 8:30am.
